According to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, at least five Russians have been arrested and possibly arrested for plotting to overthrow Donald Trump.
Blitzer asked Putin if he was on the verge of giving the FBI more time. As the American broadcaster reported in a recent story on the Russian threat, a senior DNC official said 'the threat that we have from Russia and that we might have to give them more time is more than we can handle.'"
Russia has said it is working to sabotage American presidential elections by hacking into Democratic Party, but Blitzer said Putin did not mention a specific target; instead, he cited the threat of an Iran-backed group in Syria.
"The Russian leadership wants the US to do nothing, and if it does nothing, it will blow up," Blitzer told him, according to the transcript of the broadcast.
Putin's statement was widely reported yesterday in the Russian media, including some in the United States and on The Daily Beast.
There is an FBI investigation into Trump's links to Russia, including the alleged Russian involvement in the anti-Trump protest movement.
In response to the Russian threat, Trump said that if the DNC were a neutral organization, he would investigate the matter.
During an appearance on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday, Trump said 'this whole thing, and the last thing that we should be doing is having anything with this, that's gonna happen.' Trump was also pressed on whether he would not have to go to court because the FBI was looking into Trump's ties to Russia.
In response, Trump said "somebody hacked the computers there, and we had another one hacked, and another hacked" with 'a very good idea', adding that he had to figure out 'why that wasn't the real problem'.
Earlier reports said the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, was on vacation in the Bahamas during the month of June where he and his family had their first child, Ivanka.
On Twitter just before Trump's tweet, a spokesperson for Clinton said: 'I'm assured by the Secret Service and FBI that the information obtained by all of these law enforcement agencies is true.'
CNN contributor Anderson Cooper pressed Clinton on who else was 'on vacation,' and Trump said Clinton had 'made some of the strongest statements of any presidential candidate'.
Cooper then asked the US Secretary of State, if she had to go to court because the FBI was looking into Trump's ties to Russia
The White House denied allegations that a 'dual threat' was created by the Russian government.
'The President confirmed today that the FBI has 'been conducting the same investigation currently being conducted of two other Russian entities who are directly involved in our election process,' the Administration said Thursday afternoon
'The President is very clear that he strongly believes in the Second Amendment. And he will protect it.'
Trump later tweeted: 'A bipartisan bipartisan group of Senators have raised an important and important issue on my watch.'
Russia has said it's working to sabotage American presidential elections by hacking into Democratic Party, but Putin did not mention a specific target; instead, he quoted the threat of an Iran-backed group in Syria
Russia has said at least five more Russians are suspected of being behind the alleged hacking, reports say.
How much longer can we keep up this lefty bullsh*t we need to stay strong to our values.
This is exactly what conservatives always says
I can’t agree more, as my brother went on to become a volunteer in Syria, fighting alongside Syrian moderate opposition versus Assad – and died. All because US did not stop Assad in 2011-2012.
